This creamy, tangy, and ultra-cheesy spread has been a staple at our family gatherings for generations. Made with sharp cheddar, cream cheese, and a few pantry staples, it comes together in minutes and disappears just as fast. Whether you’re entertaining guests or snacking solo, this nostalgic appetizer always hits the spot.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream (to loosen as needed)
  • Optional: chopped pecans, green onions, or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine shredded cheddar, softened cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.

  2. Add 1–2 tablespoons of milk or cream and mix until smooth and creamy. A hand mixer works well for extra fluffiness.

  3. Transfer to a serving dish or shape into a ball if desired.

  4. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. Before serving, garnish with chopped pecans, green onions, or parsley.

  6. Serve with crackers, bread, or veggies.
