A refreshing and indulgent cocktail that blends the sweet, tangy taste of blackberries with the rich flavor of bourbon, topped with vanilla, cinnamon, and a touch of club soda for a fizzy twist.

Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 68 Fresh blackberries (for muddling)
  • 2 oz Bourbon
  • 1 oz Simple syrup
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • Crushed ice (to fill the shaker and glass)
  • Club soda (optional, for a fizzy twist)

Instructions

  1. Muddle the Blackberries
In a cocktail shaker, muddle a handful of fresh blackberries to release the juice.
  2. Add the Liquids
Add 2 ounces of bourbon, 1 ounce of simple syrup, a pinch of cinnamon, a dash of vanilla extract, and 1/2 ounce of fresh lemon juice to the muddled blackberries.
  3. Shake It Up
Add crushed ice to the shaker and shake well for about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice. For a smoother drink, double strain to remove blackberry seeds.
  5. Add a Fizz (Optional)
Top with club soda for a fizzy twist and stir gently.
  6. Garnish and Enjoy
Garnish with fresh blackberries or a cinnamon stick.

Notes

  • For a sweeter cocktail, add more simple syrup or blackberry liqueur.
  • If you prefer a lighter version, skip the club soda.
  • You can prepare the blackberry base ahead of time and store it in the fridge for quick mixing.
