Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle the shredded jack cheese on top of each breast.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute the jack cheese with other types of cheese like mozzarella or cheddar if desired.
  • For added flavor, top with sautéed mushrooms or caramelized onions before baking.
