For dough:
1 cup whole milk
4 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup ice-cold water
3 eggs
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
For filling:
4 oz. Tagalong cookies
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup demerara sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon kosher salt
For glaze:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 ounces cream cheese, slightly softened
4 cups powdered sugar, sifted, as needed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
Prepare the dough: Combine milk, flour, water, eggs, yeast, sugar, salt, and butter. Knead until smooth. Let rise.
Make the filling: Mix Tagalongs, butter, sugar, chocolate chips, and salt. Spread over rolled-out dough.
Bake: Roll dough into a log, slice, and bake until golden.
Prepare the glaze: Beat butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and peanut butter until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
Feel free to add more chocolate chips or nuts to the filling for extra flavor.
