Tender, juicy steak bites seared to lock in flavor and then slow-cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce with beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Finished with fresh herbs, these steak bites deliver bold, savory comfort in every bite—perfect served over mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or tenderloin), cut into 1-inch bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Optional Sear: In a large skillet, heat a small amount of oil over high heat. Quickly sear the steak bites in batches for 1-2 minutes per side to develop a caramelized exterior. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Slow Cooker Assembly: Add the minced garlic, beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the slow cooker. Toss with the seared steak bites.
  3. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender and infused with flavor.
  4. Finish: Stir in fresh parsley or thyme. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Serve: Plate the steak bites and drizzle with the garlic butter sauce. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, searing the steak before slow cooking is recommended.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water and stir it in during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
