Ingredients

  • Beef stew meat: 2 pounds
  • Carrots: 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • Celery: 2 stalks, chopped
  • Onion: 1 large onion, chopped
  • Potatoes: 3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Beef broth: 4 cups
  • Worcestershire sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Tomato paste: 2 tablespoons
  • Flour: 2 cups
  • Baking powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Milk: 1 cup
  • Butter: 1/4 cup (melted)
  • Fresh parsley: 1/4 cup, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Brown the beef stew meat in a skillet over medium-high heat. Transfer the browned beef to the slow cooker.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables: Chop carrots, celery, onion, and potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Add the vegetables and garlic to the slow cooker.
  3. Add the Liquid: Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste. Stir to combine and season with salt and pepper.
