These Quick Soy Sauce Noodles come together in under 15 minutes and are packed with savory, garlicky goodness. Whether you eat them as a simple meal on their own or serve them as a side, this recipe is one you’ll want to keep on repeat.

Ingredients

  • Noodles: 8 oz (about 225g) (ramen, egg noodles, or spaghetti)
  • Soy sauce: 1/4 cup (60 ml)
  • Garlic: 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger: 1-inch piece, grated or finely minced
  • Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Oyster sauce: 1 tablespoon (15 ml)
  • Brown sugar: 1 tablespoon (15 g)
  • Green onions: 2-3, sliced (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds: 1 tablespoon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Boil noodles according to package instructions until just tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. Sauté the Garlic and Ginger: Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Make the Sauce: Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Let it bubble for a few seconds to blend the flavors.

  4. Toss in the Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and toss until well coated. Let them absorb the sauce for about a minute.

  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the noodles; slightly undercooked noodles will absorb more sauce.

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of rice vinegar or a pinch of red pepper flakes.
