1 sheet of puff pastry or flatbread (store-bought for convenience)
2 pears, thinly sliced
4 oz (120g) Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup (60ml) honey
1/4 cup (30g) chopped walnuts
A handful of arugula leaves
1 tbsp olive oil
Freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the flatbread: Place the puff pastry or flatbread on a baking sheet.
Assemble the flatbread: Arrange the pear slices, Gorgonzola cheese, and walnuts on top of the flatbread. Drizzle with honey and olive oil. Season with black pepper.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the flatbread is golden and the cheese is melted.
Serve: Remove from the oven, top with fresh arugula leaves, and slice to serve.
Notes
You can customize this flatbread by using goat cheese or blue cheese instead of Gorgonzola.
For a different flavor, try using pecans instead of walnuts.
