Ingredients

Units Scale

  • 24 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for searing)

Instructions

1. Season and Cook the Chicken

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.

2. Prepare the Parmesan Topping

In a small bowl, mix parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and ranch dressing until combined.

3. Assemble the Chicken

Place the seared chicken breasts on a baking sheet. Sprinkle shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese over each piece, then evenly spread the parmesan breadcrumb mixture on top.

4. Bake Until Golden

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the topping is golden brown. Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) internally.

5. Serve and Enjoy

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy with your favorite sides!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
  • Pounding the chicken to an even thickness helps it cook evenly.
  • Freshly grated parmesan melts better than pre-packaged cheese.
