Soft, warm, and perfectly buttery, these Olive Garden-inspired breadsticks are the ultimate comfort food. Easy to make, they’re a great side dish to any meal or just a treat on their own. Fresh from the oven, these breadsticks will quickly become a favorite!
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, until frothy.
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter, mixing until a soft dough forms. If too sticky, add flour a tablespoon at a time.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until doubled.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 portions. Roll each portion into a 6-inch strip and place on a greased baking sheet.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Melt remaining butter and mix with garlic powder and parsley. Brush the baked breadsticks generously with the garlic butter.
