These No Yeast Cinnamon Rolls are a quick and easy alternative to traditional cinnamon rolls. Made without yeast, these rolls are perfect for a delicious breakfast or dessert treat.

Cinnamon Rolls

  • ⅔ cup whole milk
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour, divided
  • 2½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • 2½ teaspoons cinnamon

Cream Cheese Icing

  • 2 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a saucepan, heat milk and 4 tablespoons of butter until butter is melted. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, and salt. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  2. Roll Out the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle. Melt remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and spread it over the dough. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the dough.
  3. Form the Rolls: Roll up the dough tightly and slice into rolls. Place in a greased baking dish.
  4. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Make the Icing: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add salt, vanilla, milk, and powdered sugar. Spread over warm cinnamon rolls.
