  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 can Kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium heat. Once cooked through, drain excess fat.
  2. Add Aromatics: Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until softened.
  3. Add Spices: Stir in chili powder, cumin, and paprika. Let the spices cook for a minute to bring out their flavor.
  4. Simmer the Chili: Add diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth to the pot. Stir everything together and bring to a simmer. Cover and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Adjust Seasoning: Taste the chili and adjust seasoning with more chili powder or salt if needed.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the chili in bowls and top with sour cream, shredded cheese, or fresh cilantro. Enjoy with cornbread or tortilla chips.
