These ham and cheese sliders are warm, melty, buttery, and downright addictive. Whether you’re making them for a party, a game day snack, or an easy family dinner, they always disappear fast! Layers of savory ham, gooey cheese, and soft Hawaiian rolls come together with a buttery, flavorful glaze that takes them over the top. Best of all? They’re super easy to make in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale

  • 12 Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 12 slices ham (honey or smoked ham)
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese or cheddar
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rolls: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally (keeping them together) and place the bottom half in a greased baking dish.
  2. Layer the Ham and Cheese: Add a generous layer of sliced ham, followed by Swiss or cheddar cheese. Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  3. Make the Buttery Glaze: In a bowl, mix melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and poppy seeds. Brush this mixture all over the tops of the rolls.
  4. Bake to Perfection: Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 5-10 minutes until golden brown and melty.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly, then slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use soft rolls – Hawaiian rolls work best, but any soft dinner rolls will do.
  • Make them crispy – Bake uncovered for a couple more minutes for crispier tops.
  • Add a little heat – A pinch of red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños adds spice.
