Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 8 oz lump crab meat (or imitation crab, finely chopped)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish.
  2. Mix the Base: In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Add Seasonings: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fold in Crab and Cheese: Gently mix in the crab meat, shredded cheddar, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Be careful not to break up the crab too much.
  5. Bake Until Bubbly: Transfer mixture to the prepared baking dish, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top, and bake for 20-25 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, garnish with chopped green onions or parsley, and serve hot with crackers, toasted bread, or vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • Use lump crab meat for the best texture and flavor.
  • Soften cream cheese before mixing to ensure a smooth consistency.
  • Make ahead: Mix all ingredients and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • Avoid overbaking to keep the dip creamy and not dry.
