Ingredients
Scale
1/2 cup (115g) butter
1 cup (200g) sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 cup (50g) hot cocoa mix
1/4 cup (25g) cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8 square baking pan or line with parchment paper.
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar and eggs until smooth.
Add the hot cocoa mix, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined and velvety.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, stirring gently to form a thick batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool before cutting and serving.
Notes
For extra richness, add a handful of chocolate chips to the batter.
To mimic a hot cocoa experience, drizzle with melted chocolate or top with whipped cream or marshmallows.
