  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning, divided

Instructions

  1. Mix the Dough:

    • In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.
    • Add the warm water and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
    • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest at room temperature for 12-18 hours, until the dough has doubled in size and is dotted with bubbles.
  2. Shape the Dough:

    • Generously flour a clean work surface.
    • Transfer the dough onto the floured surface and fold it into a ball, tucking the edges underneath.
    • Place the dough seam-side down on a piece of parchment paper.
    • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning evenly over the top.
  3. Preheat the Oven:

    • Place a Dutch oven with its lid inside your oven and preheat to 450°F (232°C) for 30 minutes.
  4. Bake the Bread:

    • Carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven.
    • Using the parchment paper, lift the dough and place it into the Dutch oven.
    • Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
    • After 30 minutes, remove the lid, sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning over the top, and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown.
  5. Cool and Serve:

    • Remove the bread from the Dutch oven and transfer it to a cooling rack.
    • Allow it to cool completely before slicing.
