This Easy Peasy Parmesan Chicken in the Crockpot recipe is a simple and delicious way to make a flavorful chicken dish with minimal effort. The combination of parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and spaghetti sauce creates a tasty coating for the chicken, and the slow cooker does all the work for you!

Main Ingredients:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts/tenders (frozen or thawed)
  • 1 1/2 cups (app.) of seasoned canned bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
  • 1 or 2 jars (24 oz each) of prepared spaghetti sauce (Prego, Ragu, etc.)
  • Mozzarella (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Coat the Chicken: In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese. Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture.
  2. Layer in Crockpot: Place coated chicken in the crockpot. Pour spaghetti sauce over the chicken.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  4. Add Cheese: Sprinkle mozzarella over the chicken and sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  5. Serve: Serve hot over pasta or with a side of vegetables.

Notes

  • You can add Italian seasoning or garlic powder to the breadcrumb mixture for extra flavor.
  • If using frozen chicken, increase cooking time accordingly.
