Main Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1/3 cup Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs Cubed Steak
  • 14 oz Beef Broth
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cubed Steak: Season cubed steak with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Dredge in flour.
  2. Sear the Steak: Heat oil in a skillet and brown the steak on both sides. Remove from the skillet.
  3. Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, sauté onions until soft. Add beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Return steak to the skillet.
  4. Simmer: Cover and simmer for about 1 hour until the steak is tender and the gravy is thickened.

Notes

  • You can serve cube steak with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to add mushrooms or bell peppers to the gravy for extra flavor.
