This Crockpot Honey Garlic Chicken is a super easy, flavorful dinner with tender chicken slow-cooked in a sweet, savory, and slightly tangy honey garlic sauce. Perfect for busy nights or meal prep!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic (fresh or minced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of your crockpot. If using frozen chicken, add extra cook time.
  2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: Whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, apple cider vinegar, and olive oil. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  3. Pour the Sauce Over the Chicken: Pour the sauce over the chicken in the crockpot, making sure it’s evenly coated.
  4. Slow Cook to Perfection: Set the crockpot to low for 4-5 hours (or high for 2-3 hours) until the chicken is cooked and tender.
  5. Shred the Chicken (Optional): Shred the chicken with two forks in the crockpot to soak up the sauce.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, remove chicken and simmer the sauce uncovered until reduced.
  • Add lemon juice for extra zing.
  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies for a complete meal.
