Main Filling:
2 pounds sour cabbage leaves
2 pounds ground pork
½ cup rice (long grain, uncooked, such as basmati or jasmine)
1 large onion (chopped or grated)
¼ cup fresh dill (chopped)
2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
Additional:
8 ounces bacon (or other smoked meats such as smoked sausage or hock)
4 cups tomato juice
Instructions
Prepare the Cabbage: Carefully remove the sour cabbage leaves and blanch them in boiling water for a few minutes. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix ground pork, rice, onion, herbs, salt, and pepper.
Assemble the Rolls: Place a spoonful of the filling on each cabbage leaf and roll it up, tucking in the sides.
Cook in Crockpot: Layer the rolls in the crockpot, add the bacon on top, pour tomato juice over them, and cook on low for several hours until the cabbage is tender.

Notes
You can customize the filling by adding other ingredients like garlic, paprika, or mushrooms.
