Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or breadcrumbs for a firmer texture)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, eggs, flour, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well incorporated.
  2. Shape the Fritters: Scoop small portions of the mixture and shape them into patties or drop spoonfuls directly into the pan.
  3. Fry Until Golden: Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry each fritter for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Drain and Serve: Transfer the cooked fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve warm with your favorite dip.

Notes

  • For a gluten-free version, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • Add a pinch of cayenne or paprika for a spicy kick.
  • To bake instead of frying, place fritters on a lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.
