1½ pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
Kosher salt, to taste
Ground black pepper, to taste
¼ cup unsalted butter, divided
½ cup diced yellow onion
6 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, plus more to taste
⅔ cup dry white wine
1½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Chopped fresh parsley and lemon wedges for garnish
Cooked pasta or rice, for serving
Instructions
Season Shrimp: Season shrimp with salt and black pepper.
Cook Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt half of the butter and cook shrimp until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, sauté onion, garlic, and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
Deglaze Pan: Pour in white wine and let it reduce slightly.
Add Cream: Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
Melt Cheese: Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and sauce thickens.
Combine: Return shrimp to the skillet and coat with the creamy sauce.
Serve: Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges. Serve over cooked pasta or rice.

You can adjust the spice level by adding more or less crushed red pepper flakes.
