Ingredients
UnitsScale
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2cup butter (melted)
2 eggs
8oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2cup peanut butter
1 1/2cups powdered sugar
1cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat and Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Mix the Cake Base: Combine the cake mix, melted butter, and one egg. Stir until well mixed and press into the prepared baking dish.
Make the Peanut Butter Layer: Beat together the cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar and remaining eggs, mixing until fully combined. Spread the mixture over the cake base.
Add the Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly on top of the peanut butter layer.
Bake to Perfection: Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the edges are golden, and the center is set but still slightly gooey. The center should jiggle slightly when touched.
Cool and Slice: Let it cool for 15 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
For a firmer texture, bake a little longer, but be careful not to dry it out.
Use crunchy peanut butter for a richer peanut flavor.
Drizzle melted chocolate on top for more chocolate goodness.
