  • 1 lb crawfish tails, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for more heat)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the Cajun seasoning, paprika, thyme, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for another 1-2 minutes to release the spices’ aroma.
  5. Add the crawfish tails to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing it to thicken.
  7. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and the sauce becomes creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Toss the cooked fettuccine pasta in the sauce until well coated.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • If crawfish is not available, you can substitute with shrimp.
