Ingredients

Scale

For the Salad:

  • 2 Navel oranges, peeled and sliced
  • 2 Blood oranges or Cara Cara oranges, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Grapefruit, peeled and sliced
  • 1 Lemon or Lime, juiced
  • 12 tablespoons Honey or Maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh mint or Basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Toasted almonds or Pistachios (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Citrus

  • Peel the oranges and grapefruit, removing as much white pith as possible.

  • Slice into thin rounds or segment the citrus. Arrange on a serving platter.

Step 2: Make the Dressing

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the honey (or maple syrup) and lemon/lime juice.

  • Add a drizzle of olive oil, if using.

Step 3: Assemble the Salad

  • Drizzle the dressing over the citrus slices.

  • Sprinkle with fresh mint or basil.

  • If using, top with toasted nuts for crunch.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

  • Let the salad sit for a few minutes to allow flavors to meld before serving.

Notes

  • Use a sharp knife to remove citrus peels cleanly.
  • Chill the salad before serving for an extra refreshing bite.
  • For a heartier salad, add arugula or a handful of pomegranate seeds.
