Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients:

    • 6 pound ham (fully cooked)
    • 40 cloves (give or take a few)

Glaze:

  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ¼ cup bourbon (or other whiskey)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 medium orange (zested and juiced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Score Ham: Score the ham with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern.
  3. Insert Cloves: Insert cloves into the scored areas of the ham.
  4. Make Glaze: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, bourbon, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, orange zest and juice, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
  5. Glaze Ham: Brush the ham with the glaze mixture, making sure to coat evenly.
  6. Bake: Bake the ham for about 2 hours, basting with the glaze every 20 minutes.
  7. Serve: Let the ham rest before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness of the glaze by adding more or less brown sugar to suit your taste.
  • Make sure to baste the ham regularly to keep it moist and flavorful.
