A warm, hearty, and flavor-packed bowl of homemade chicken ramen featuring rich broth, tender chicken, and perfectly cooked noodles.

Ingredients

  • Chicken breast or thighs – 2 boneless, skinless breasts or thighs (about 1 lb)
  • Chicken broth – 4 cups (about 1 liter)
  • Ginger – 1-inch piece, peeled and sliced
  • Garlic – 3 cloves, minced
  • Soy sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Ramen noodles – 4 servings (approximately 1 package or 4 oz of fresh/dried noodles)
  • Toppings:
  • Soft-boiled eggs – 2 eggs
  • Green onions – 2, chopped
  • Sriracha (optional) – to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the Broth: In a large pot, combine chicken broth, ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. Simmer for about 15 minutes to blend the flavors.

  2. Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts (or thighs) to the pot and cook for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked. Shred the chicken and set aside.

  3. Prepare the Noodles: In a separate pot, cook ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  4. Assemble the Ramen: Divide the cooked noodles into bowls. Pour the broth and chicken over the noodles, top with shredded chicken, and add your favorite toppings (soft-boiled eggs, green onions, sriracha).

Notes

  • Use bone-in chicken for a richer broth.

  • Adjust salt levels by tasting the broth and adding more soy sauce or salt if needed.

  • Cook the noodles to a tender texture with a slight bite.
