This Banana Wafer Cake is a nostalgic dessert made with layers of crispy vanilla wafers, creamy banana filling, and a rich vanilla glaze. It’s quick to assemble, no-bake, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Vanilla wafers – 1 box (about 200g or 2 cups)
  • Bananas – 3 large bananas, sliced
  • Sweetened condensed milk – 1 can (14 oz)
  • Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1 teaspoon
  • Milk – 1/2 cup
  • Sugar – 1/4 cup
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Layer the Vanilla Wafers: Line the bottom of a 9×9-inch square dish or similar-sized pan with a layer of vanilla wafers.
  2. Add Sliced Bananas: Slice the bananas and arrange them over the wafer layer.
  3. Prepare the Creamy Filling: Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Pour the mixture over the bananas and wafers.
  4. Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of vanilla wafers, followed by more banana slices. Then pour over the remaining creamy filling.
  5. Chill and Set: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.

Notes

  • Ripe Bananas: Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • Chill Longer: For better results, let the cake chill overnight to allow flavors to meld.
  • Whipped Cream: Top with whipped cream for extra indulgence.
