Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Mix Batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Gently fold in the raspberries.
  5. Fill Donut Pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about ¾ full.
  6. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Glaze: Allow the donuts to cool slightly before removing from the pan. If desired, dip the warm donuts into a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk.

Notes

  • Ensure not to overmix the batter to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
  • Tossing raspberries in a bit of flour before adding to the batter can prevent them from sinking.
