1 pound ribeye steak (cut into 1-inch bite-size pieces)
1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons sweet soy sauce
½ teaspoon black pepper (coarsely ground)
1 teaspoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon baking soda
Sauce
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce (such as sambal oelek)
2 tablespoon water
Instructions
Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sweet soy sauce, black pepper, cornstarch, and baking soda. Add steak pieces, mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Make the sauce: In a separate bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, chili garlic sauce, and water. Set aside.
Cook the steak: Heat a pan over high heat, add marinated steak bites, and cook until browned and cooked through.
Serve: Drizzle the sauce over the steak bites and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add minced garlic and ginger to the marinade.
