Hamburger Steaks:

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Sauce:

  • 1 (10 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Topping:

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Prepare hamburger steaks: In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Shape into patties.
  3. Make sauce: In a separate bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, onion, mushrooms, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Assemble: Place hamburger steaks in a baking dish, pour sauce over them, and cover with foil.
  5. Bake: Bake for about 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until steaks are cooked through.
